  2. Insist upon accountability for schools, students and teachers;
  3. Introduce performance pay to our high performance teachers in order to recruit and retain the best teachers in our schools;
  4. Open up teacher certification in order to enlist more quality candidates into the teaching profession;
  5. Increase school choice for parents and students so that all parents have the opportunity to select the best educational program for their children;
  6. Implement early interventions to assist the fast learners as well as the slow learners and end social promotion;
  7. Increase the use of technology in order to eliminate “seat time” and replace it with “real learning” time, allows options for students;
  8. Increase the availability of education and career action plans (ECAPs) so that students, and parents, can plan for college or the work place;
  9. Require 8th graders to pass U.S. Constitution test for graduation;
  10. Add history exams as part of end-of-course exams at 4th, 7th and all high school social studies courses
